Emergency Numbers

In the case of an emergency, please dial 911

In case of inclement weather, the university has established a color-coded system to communicate with the campus community in case of a closure. The code is as follows:

Green: Open on regular schedule.
Yellow: Open on regular schedule, but students and employees should use their own judgment as to whether it is safe for them to travel to the campus. Students who choose not to attend class should contact their faculty members at the earliest opportunity and discuss making up any class assignments/exams missed. Employees will be charged leave according to policy.
Orange: No classes, but employees will report for work. Employees should use their own judgment as to whether it is safe for them to travel to the campus. Employees will be charged leave according to policy.
Red: The campus is closed except for emergency personnel. Emergency personnel include Campus Police, Facilities personnel, Dining Services personnel, Residential Life personnel and Health Services personnel.

As always, students and employees are encouraged to use caution and their own judgment as to whether it is safe to travel to campus.

Caf hours, ITS help desk and other campus updates for snow closure

The Caf will be open Monday, Jan. 15 and Tuesday, Jan. 16 on modified hours of 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. A continental breakfast will be served Monday from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Other dining locations will be closed.
The Marc L. Burnett Student Recreation and Fitness Center ("Burn") will be closed through Tuesday.
The university's two 24-hour computer labs will remain open in Henderson Hall 111 and Clement Hall 313B. The ITS helpdesk will offer extended virtual hours on Tuesday of 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Additionally, events originally planned for Monday, Jan. 15 in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day have been postponed. Monday's "Restock the Food Pantry" event will be moved to a later date, however Friday's food pantry event is still continuing as planned at this time. The candlelight vigil originally planned for Monday has been tentatively moved to Wednesday at 6 p.m. in the Tech Pride Room. Further updates will be shared by Intercultural Affairs.
